The platform can do just about anything you want it to do. You can write systems, run technical analysis studies, and collect historical data on any domestic or world market on E-Signal’s servers.
Of course all 96 markets we track are already set up and alphabetically organized with Jordi’s Intra-Day2 already applied to each chart. But you can set up any system or market(s) you want.
There are many additional systems and studies already included in the INTRA-DAY STOCK TRADER 2010 package. All the systems in the manuals are also included. But this is a tool kit and you can add things, take things away and write your own trading programs if you like or modify the existing programs. This is NOT a black box.
To replicate what Trader Bob does all you need is a password from E-Signal. In fact E-Signal is already installed when you open up the package on your computer. Trader Bob subscribes to E-Signal Premier and three US stock exchanges: NYSE, AMEX and NASDAQ. In addition to getting live data fed directly into the platform you can also download and chart historical data and paste it into the platform from E-Signal's servers.
The platform will not work with delayed data or any other data feed other than E-Signal. $137 per month is a significant expense, but if you want to do intra-day stock trading you must have it. Having this data and trading this way can protect you against serious losses, but admittedly it is not for everyone. We do feel that E-Signal is reliable and the data is very clean and that is why we use E-Signal rather than something else. Einstein has no contract with E-Signal.
We have tested the platform on ten year old lap tops as well as quad core computers with 8 gigabytes of RAM. In fact the platform will install on computers with only 256 K RAM. Using only 256 K RAM you can run about 12 to 20 charts with our systems applied. In order to run the 96 charts with systems applied, the same that we put up on this site every day, requires about 2 gigabytes of RAM.
In other words the software platform is very easy on computer memory and you can easily follow a lot of markets without crashing. You should have about 10 gigabytes of available space on your hard drive before installing.
